Wondering What You Can Do With That Art History Degree?
The Art History Department along with the Art History Association invite you to a special event: Careers in Art History. We’ve invited four SUNY New Paltz alumnae back to campus on Thursday, October 1, to speak with students about their professional work in art history-related fields. These alumnae work in the museum field, library and information science, fine art licensing, and academia.
Before the panel, students, faculty and alumni will gather for a free dinner in CSB (Coykendall Science Building), Room 110 at 5 pm. The panel will take place in the same room from 7-9 pm. Because we will be ordering food for the event, please RSVP via email to Laura Silvernail, Art History secretary, at silvernl@newpaltz.edu.
The Moderator: Jaimee Uhlenbrock Professor Emerita in Art History at SUNY New Paltz, received her PhD in classical archaeology in 1978 from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, and has conducted archaeological fieldwork in Greece, Turkey, Sicily, and Libya.
The Panel: Lauren Marcus is a Senior Librarian for the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. Liz Kurtulik Mercuri is a Permissions Associate at Art Resource, the world’s largest fine art stock photo archive. Joann Potter is the Registrar/Collections Manager at the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center at Vassar College.
