All Art History Majors, Minors, and Concentrators

We have updated our records so that all Majors, Minors, and Concentrators now have key-card access to the Visual Resources Study Room during all Smiley Art Building hours, including nights and weekends.  Use the Study Room to prep for exams, practice presentations for class, and to build the Art History community!

If you are a newly declared student in art history and need access to the the Study Room, please contact the Visual Resources Librarian, Susan DeMaio Smutny, at demaios@newpaltz.edu and we will get you set up!

Key-card access to the Art History Visual Resources Study Room in Smiley Art Building, Room 106C, is available to all Art History Majors, Minors and Early Education Concentrators throughout the semester during all Smiley Art Building hours, seven days a week.

This exclusive space for declared art history students boasts a small group study seminar table, with USB and power outlets, plus a 40 in display attached to a PC with New Paltz network access. Or bring your laptop or other device to work wirelessly.

The Visual Resources Study Room is available on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the semester for indivdual or group work:

  • Writing Research Papers
  • Presentation Preparation
  • Exam Study
