Van Gogh’s Letters
The letters of Vincent Van Gogh have long been a rich and valuable insight into the art and mind of this genius. Now, The Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, has made these letters available online. The site features the letters’ texts (with translations) and facsimiles of the sheets. What’s more the letters have been extensively annotated, enhanced by hyperlinks connecting people, works of art, and works of literature referenced by the artist and his correspondents.
Browse the letters by period, correspondent, place, or limit your browsing to letters with sketches.
